Several years ago I purchased a Dell PC as a second PC for
my wife. The delivery of our order was quick and the machine worked fine from the start and
is still going strong, so I have no hesitation in recommending Dell products
for reliability and performance.
Well there must be something quite outstanding
about their machines, because recently,
I've had the unfortunate experience of landing
up in hospital with a mild heart attack.
When the initiall shock was over and I
was with my doctor discussing how to make
sure I was not to have another one, I noticed
a Dell computer on his desk. Asking him
what he thought of it, he replied that he
never had any problems and he had one at
home too.
And the great thing about this company is that you don’t
have to purchase those “little extra software deals” often packed with high
street deals you’ll end up never using.

Dell Home Systems: Here you will find, desktops, notebooks,
electronics and accessories, printers and ink, hand-held computers, Dell parts
and Special Offers – all very easy to navigate with links to price and specific
details of any product so you know what you’re getting – very useful if you
have done your research on a product that you are considering buying.
Also on the Dell Home Systems section, there's a link to the
gaming machines. These are the higher performance machines that are good for
playing games and/or video processing because of their higher spec. processors
and graphic cards etc. There are also
listed Dell’s current special offers in this category here.
Dell Business Systems: Here are to be found systems suitable
for anything from small business to international concerns at very competitive
prices. If it’s networks, storage,
servers, base stations (or more) that you are looking for, check out these pages.
Dell Service & Support: This section is there so that
customers can purchase extra guarantees and includes access to details of
telephone advice etc. on top of the standard guarantees that come with the
products. You also have details of collect and repair, get repair at home with
a Dell engineer, and lots more. I was surprised at the various packages
available.
If like me, you don’t mind opening your machine, tinkering
about and/or upgrading, then this is another place where Dell really
shines. I found that our machine was
simple to open – I wanted to increase the memory (available from the website)
and whilst I already know how to do this, the handbook that came with the
machine had excellent instructions that an amateur could follow.
In a nutshell, Dell systems are of high quality and
reasonably priced that can be tailored to your needs, and they come with a
1-year collect and return service and technical support. The site is bright and
cheerful and easy to navigate. It also has a search box to make it easy to
locate any specific machine or component.
